Rev. Larry J. Morris III (he/they) serves as the Senior Minister of Cairn Christian Church in Lafayette, Colorado. A visionary preacher, spiritual director, and community builder, Larry brings a pastoral heart and prophetic imagination to Cairn’s ministry of welcome, transformation, and justice.

Larry is a Ph.D. student in African American Preaching and Sacred Rhetoric at Christian Theological Seminary and is ordained in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). With a background in digital ministry, spiritual accompaniment, and homiletic coaching, he integrates theology, justice, and innovation to help individuals and communities realize their extraordinary purpose.

Rooted in his identity as a Black Queer minister, Larry is passionate about cultivating spaces of authenticity, healing, and sacred belonging. He is also the founder of Sacred Resonance, a coaching and consulting practice supporting spiritual leaders and creatives through intentional accompaniment, clarity work, and visionary strategy.

He lives in Colorado with his goldendoodle pup, Yonu, and enjoys jazz, meaningful conversation, and a little adventure.

Alanna (she/they) received her Masters in Social Justice and Ethics in May of 2019. They have a passion for working with children and youth as they discover the world and explore spirituality.

At Cairn, Alanna develops our children's programs with our Family Ministries Team. 

Alissa Kuster (she/her) holds a bachelor’s degree in English and Integrative Physiology from the University of Colorado Boulder. She is an avid creative writer and is an editor for two literary publications. In her work in nonprofit administration, she is dedicated to building and maintaining diverse and inclusive communities. Alissa enjoys hiking, rock climbing, cooking, and spending time with her partner and pet rabbit.

Becca (she/her) came to Cairn Christian Church in 2006. She is a pianist, singer, accompanist, choral director, and woodwind player based in Berthoud.  

Becca graduated from Hastings College with degrees in Music Performance and Psychology. She earned a Masters in Special Education from Metropolitan State University in Denver.

Becca has a heart for jazz and plays saxophone with various jazz groups on the front range. She has recorded with noted Denver jazz saxophonist, Jim Riley. Becca currently serves on the faculty of the Face Academy of Music. She has a CHt certificate in Counseling Hypnotherapy and is a Reiki practitioner. Becca is passionate about the energetic transformations that can take place with Reiki energy work, and feels strongly that it has affected her musical practice and performong in a deeply spiritual way. 

Satsuki Howell (she/her) has been the Nursery Attendant at Cairn since the autumn of 2015. Originally from Japan, Satsuki now lives in Lafayette with her husband, Mark, and their three children. Satsuki brings both passion and experience to her work with our young children at Cairn.​

Sarah (she/her) hails originally from Southern Indiana, where she began her musical journey at age 7 with piano lessons, at her mother's insistence, along with her siblings. Finding joy in learning at the keyboard, she began playing for her parents' church at the age of 12 and continued that all throughout high school and her early college years. Since then, she has played piano and organ for many different churches and while she has enjoyed multiple opportunities to work making music, no other musical experience has been as fulfilling and joyful as playing at Cairn Christian Church. Sarah and her partner, Dave, live in Coal Creek Canyon, and she spends her time away from Cairn working as a metalsmith/jewelry designer.
